To wear or not to wear?

For my birthday 2 different friends with the same idea both decided to give me french bikinis.
Aren't they cute? I took these cute items and decided to try them on. NOT SO CUTE! What kind of person thinks a 40 year old could pull something like that off? I had thought if they look good I'll go back and buy the tops (or maybe I'll go native hee hee). Now the front view was not so bad but as I turned around to check the back--lets just say I knew I had junk in the trunk but what assailed me in the mirror was horrifying. Sorry to say I won't be seen on any beach with these babies on. On a related note, we leave in 11 days. So much to do why am I sitting here blogging. Gotta go! adios!

Musings on 40

So the big 40 happened this week. How is it that I still feel like I'm so young but others look at me and think I'm old. I remember when I was a teenager how old my parents were. I remember when I first moved to Oregon and I was one of the young mothers in the ward and I looked at the parents that had teenagers and thought how they were older mature mothers with lots of advice. Now that I'm there I realize those mothers didn't know squat! How can I be one of those older mature mothers. How did I get here?!

Baptism

This weekend Dayna was baptised. Grandma and Poppie Thorne, Aunt Angela and Kimberly all came for the baptism. We had a great time this weekend. Friday after school we took Dayna to get a dress for her day. The first dress we saw she loved. She tried it on and loved it and looked so happy and excited. Saturday afternoon was the baptism. Aunt Angela talked about baptism, and Poppie about the Holy Ghost. Dayna looked so radiant and happy. I was happy to see her take this big step in her life and I hope she remembers this day for ever.
